Datafication Project – International Communication Association presentation (ICA) 2020

Titled “Data publics: A conceptual and empirical exploration,” Alexandre Coutant, Guillaume Latzko-Toth, Florence Millerand and Mélanie Millette, researchers at the LabCMO responsible for the Datafication project, presented the program’s first public report on data publics.

ICA 2020: OPEN COMMUNICATION AND DATAFICATION

The presentation is part of the Communication and Technology (CAT) section which focuses on the role played by information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the process of human communication. This section aims to highlight the theoretical and methodological contribution of the adoption, use and implementation of ICTs, as well as their psychological and social effects, as well as the impact of public policies related to them. This event is therefore the beginning of a discussion that can be beneficial to communication research, we conclude on the ICA website.

In this context, the researchers of the Datafication project designed a presentation whose title in French would be, “Data audiences: a conceptual and empirical exploration” and which was disseminated on May 24, through an interactive virtual presentation.
